About the Role

Quality Assurance Technician (Gluten-Free Dry mixes)

As a Quality Assurance technician, your role will be involved in ensuring that the company’s quality standards are being met while receiving the raw material, inspection, labelling, mixing, preparation, processing, chilling, packing, storage and distribution operations. As the business is expanding overseas you will play a key role in implementation of new quality management system. In addition, you will work closely with production operations, marketing and other departments within the business. Being a small team there can be an opportunity to get involved in new product development.

Key Responsibilities-

Ensure compliance to all food safety and quality standards as well as regulatory requirements such as GMP/GHP, HACCP and customer standards.
 ● Assist with the internal and external audits.
 ● Monitor product related NCRs (if any) and co-ordinate root cause analysis and efficient resolution.
 ● Monitor finished product packaging operation to ensure compliance to product specification.
 ● Monitor and record on raw material/incoming goods regarding temperature, weight and packaging integrity.
 ● Check equipment calibration.
 ● Coordinate and prepare samples for off-site laboratory testing.
 ● Assist with review of documentation
 
Key Skills and Qualifications

 ● Food Science/Technology degree or equivalent.
 ● 1+ year of experience in manufacturing area.
 ● Knowledge of flours preferred.
 ● Knowledge of HACCP, GMP is must.
 ● Interpersonal skills and written and verbal Communication skills.
 ● Willingness to learn.
 ● Be able to work independently.
